When you use our App, we collect Information directly from you when you provide it to us. We also collect information automatically when you use the App.

Information You Provide to Us

When you download, create an account, or use the App, we may ask you to provide information that enables you to be identified, such as your email address and password.
‍
You may also provide us with information that does not specifically identify you, such as information:

  • That you enter into the App when you use App features, such as tasks, reminders, notes, schedules, AI prompts, and other features.
  • That you enter into the App when requesting help or reporting a problem with the App.
  • That you provide to us if we ask you to answer a survey or provide feedback about your experience using the App.

Information We Collect Through Automatic Technologies

As you navigate through and interact with our App, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your device and your usage activity and patterns, including:

  • Device information.  We may collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device’s unique identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, and mobile network information.
  • Usage details.  When you access and use the App, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the App, including traffic data, logs, and other communication data, and the resources that you access and use on or through the App. We may also collect information about your clicks, screen views, tutorial completions, feature usage (such as actions like creating and completing tasks), and general interaction patterns.
  • When you use artificial intelligence (“AI”) features of the App, we process the text you submit (“inputs”) and the limited relevant context needed to complete your request (such as task details, descriptions, and due dates) through third-party services such as OpenAI.
  • Diagnostics and performance data.  Crash logs, error reports, and performance metrics.
  • To deliver notifications and respect your preferences, we may collect push notification tokens (identifiers used to deliver notifications to your device) and notification settings/status (e.g., whether notifications are enabled).

Note that we do not access or collect real-time information about the location of your device. We also do not collect information from your device’s calendar, contacts, photos, or files, or health, biometric, or banking information, and we don’t store information when you use the device’s microphone to enter information into the App. If we develop our App to access or collect any of these items in the future, we will update this policy and notify you.

Collection of Non-Personal Information

  1. How We Use Your Information

We collect and use your information to:

  • Deliver the features and functionality of the App to you, including account creation and the core functionality of the App.
  • Send notifications to you, such as reminders and updates, as you may request using the App features or enable using your device permissions.
  • Improve the product through analytics, research, development, and other improvements.

  • Maintain safety and security, such as to prevent fraud and abuse and to enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Communicate with you, for support, notices, and important service messages.
  1. How We Share Your Information

  • To our third-party service providers, subprocessors, contractors, or vendors (“Service Providers”) that we use to support the App and deliver to you all the features and functionality of the App. These Service Providers are permitted to process information we collect from our users and are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. For example, we may use a cloud hosting and infrastructure provider, such as Amazon Web Services, to store the information in the App, or use analytics tools to understand how our App is used, or diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and improve App stability.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of all or some of our assets.
  • For any purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
    With your consent.

We may also disclose your personal information for legal or safety reasons. We may believe we must disclose your personal information to comply with a court order, law, or legal process, or government request. We may also believe disclosure is necessary or proper to protect the safety, security, property, and rights of Equal Edge, our users, or others, including to prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Our App uses AI and machine learning technologies to help you optimize the usefulness of our App in your day-to-day activities. When you use these features, we may process the data you input (such as text and voice inputs for descriptions, tasks, and due dates) to generate outputs.

As we mentioned earlier, we may share your AI inputs with OpenAI. We may also use them to improve and refine our AI models. We may also use AI inputs to deliver App features and functionality, configure settings, and for data management.
‍
Unless you include them in your inputs, we do not share your personal details with OpenAI. Our Terms of Service prohibit you from including personally identifying or other sensitive information in AI prompts, such as Social Security numbers, bank details, private medical details, or anything you wouldn’t want processed by a third-party service.

AI inputs and outputs are stored for a commercially reasonable period of time, after which we will delete or anonymize them.

  1. Your Choices About Your Information

You may have some choices regarding the personal information you provide to us:

  • Notifications. You can turn notifications on or off in your device settings. If you turn off notifications, some reminder features may not work.
  • Account information. You can update certain account details in the App or by contacting support.
  • Account deletion: You can delete your App account at any time in settings or by contacting support.
  1. How Long We Store Your Information

We keep and store your information in our databases for as long as you have an account on our App and to provide the features and functionality of the App to you. When you close your account, or ask us to delete your information pursuant to a valid deletion request, or when you ask us to delete the information of a child under 16, or when we decide to close your account for any lawful reason, we will delete the information from our databases within a commercially reasonable period of time in accordance with our internal policies. We may, however, keep your information for a longer period if we need to for an overriding legitimate interest, such as legal reasons, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, or for security reasons.
‍
We will delete information using commercially reasonable and permanent means to make the information irrecoverable. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that does not personally identify you after your account is deleted in accordance with our Terms of Service.

  1. Information Security

We have implemented administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing.
‍
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and secure. Do not share your password with anyone. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures included through the App.
‍
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is never completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through or stored on our App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk.
